The JATCO Shell & Tube
The JATCO Shell & Tube Style BTEX System is a counter flow stainless steel tube and bundle condensing system used to capture and recycle BTEX and VOC vapors from the dehydrator still column.
Condensed liquids are collected in the JATCO Environmental Tank, and then automatically transferred to storage.
The non-condensable vapors can be destroyed in the following ways:
Eliminator Package – the vapors are routed to the reboiler for destruction.
Vent to Combustor
Vent to Flare
Vent to VRU
Vent to Thermal Oxidizer

This closed loop system eliminates BTEX and VOC emissions, key to pollution prevention, not to mention that it pays for itself by generating revenue from condensate recovery.
The Shell & Tube BTEX System standard parts include a JATCO J-5000 10 gallon or J-7000 30 gallon Environmental Tank that moves at 310 GPH or 1400 GPH. The tank blowdown vapor is now reabsorbed into the BTEX System through a diffuser to help ensure emissions compliance. It also comes with a 32oz. vapor relief valve with a 0-40oz. gauge and a high liquid level shutdown assembly. A 5” diameter stainless steel tube is used for all condenser materials and plumbing with automatic control valves for hands free operation and manual valves for easy start up and shut down procedures.
The ability to recapture tank blowdown vapors can also easily be integrated into existing equipment.
Units are also available installed in an insulated skid mounted production building equipped with a catalytic gas heater upon request.
